Bangkok 23 - 26 Nov (DAY 2)

Friday, January 8, 2010

Finally! Day 2~

People say 3 women = 1 market. We are equivalent to 1 market. I pity the people staying around and below us. LOL!

The poor basin.. suffocated by our toiletries.

before leaving the apartment

it was along the way to BTS station. Grab some drinks first!

the closest station is still a 5-10 mins bumpy walk. Pavements were uneven and shops were protruding so much that most of the time we had to walk on the road.

damn bloody fat. I MUST GO ON A DIET!!

When we were walking towards Central World. No extra time to spare at that momentt so we went on our last day.

before we went in, we saw this..

sigh.. gonna miss this again!!

Anyway, went in Zen and headed straight up to..

The Thais don't understand me when i asked them, "Excuse me, where's Sanrio?"

We had to ask them, "Where's Hello Kitty?"

LMAO!!

Stitch and Scrump!!

After grabbing all the cheap buys from Sanrio, we went on to try the recommended Food Loft. We almost forgot that we haven't eaten anything since morning, besides the snacks we got from 7-11!!

That's shows how extreme we can shop!

It works just like Marche in Singapore. You have to present your card everytime you order something.

The only difference is, food is served TO you. Don't even have to walk up and down to collect all your orders. Just sit, kiao ka and wait!

Setting is pretty modern too!!

Thai food again!! It's like we wanna try Tomyum soup and Thai curry from every stall that we went to. Ended up not eating any for the remaining days. HAHAHAH!!

After a very heavy brunch, we went back downstairs.

And there was a HUGE bear waiting for us!!

Continued with shopping and while Chris was searching for some nice shoes for her niece, i came across this pretty lil' pair!!

BF asked me why i didn't get it. I replied 'for who?' He said 'your future daughter.'

Good idea lei!! I shall vow to dress my future daughter in My Melody from head to toes.

But what if i get a boy?

Nevermind! There's always..

Minna No Tabo also can! So cute!

Haha.. Nonsense aside!! Back to topic!

We went round and round looking for the VAT refund!!

People kept giving us wrong info! It's the same like how when we're in the airport and can't be bothered to give passengers detailed directions. Karma. So lost can!!

When we finally found the information counter, then did we know that, goods purchased from Zen can only be tax refunded INSIDE Zen!

Bloody SA never tell us!

Finally!!!!!!!~~~~~

AFTER writing lots of crap, we also realised that we have to buy goods worth of 5k THB then can we REALLY claim our tax at the airport. If not, anything below that will be invalid to claim.

This is just not our day.

If only we can claim tax from..

then we will have a few more 100 thbs to spend!!

It was filled with people!! Had to be one of the shops with the most visits in the mall. There's even a security guard in there! That explained why there's no other pictures beyond this.

The latest series were so damn sweeeeeeeeeeeet!!!

I even politely asked for permission but was rejected. =(((((

After an hr or even longer,

Got out before we spend any more of our time in there. We had yet to conquer the other mega mall down the road, Platinum Wholesale Mall!!

Looking at all the shops in there can give us headache! Really don't know where to start!!

Decided to start with the highest level..

Food Court!! LOL!

Must take a break first before we chiong further. As the saying goes, 休息是为了走更长远的路!

Magnum anyone?

Fought with an auntie over a bag in Naraya and broke my gel nail!!

HAHA!!

No la.. was just browsing through the bags and realised that it was broken. Not sure when. Prolly when i was busy flipping through the bags. That shows the amount of serious 'flipping' i did. Hee..

After resting..

we shop and shop like nobody's business!!

This kind of wholesale buying can really 害死人!

Since everything had to be bought in 3 pieces and above in order to get the wholesale price(which is usually half of the original price), either me or Chris(Mel went off and got lost!) had to sacrifice everytime we saw something nice in a shop.

And so, most of the time, we had to die die squeeze out another item to buy. Ended up getting more than what we actually wanted.

Can keep what.. won't spoil ma. *self-console chanting*

some of the shops..

We left about 8pm 'cause the shops were starting to close. We've covered like 2 levels only lo. But we were very determined to go back the next day to continue the chiong-ing!

Walked back to Central World. Dinner was at KFC!!

Look at their menu!

So many more varieties than ours!

We also da-baoed Dunkin' Donuts back to our hotel for supper!

the sink at KFC! I wonder why they have to change the normal positioning to the side. Is it better this way?

That's Chris with ALL our shopping bags!

Leaving Central World.

And there was a party going on outside!!

with a full size bar!

Took a Tuk Tuk back to unload our stuff.

He was driving really fast!!

Prolly 'cause he had to give in to our bargaining and was pissed, so he took revenge!

A lil' crazy lo!! And we were squeezed to the brim with our loots!! Had to hold on to them, and also us onto the Tuk Tuk for our dear life!

My thigh is already out of the Tuk Tuk!

Cute handle. Reminds me of Serene. LOL!!

Unloaded and off we went again, to Suan Lum Night Market!!

The staff at KFC told us they are gonna be opened the whole night.

Yea right! ALL the shops close at 12am!!

Since we can't sleep, we extended the night by exploring their supermarket. And yes, it's 24 hrs!!!

There's so much to look at and buy!!

Stayed there til 3am. Gosh! My eyes were already starting to close!

Walked back to hotel with heavy bags of groceries.

Actually wanted to buy some food to cook with the kitchen provided.

But.. who's gonna cook!? Holidays are meant to be enjoyed!

Saw another mobile bar along the way.

My loots!!

the kitty head cost SGD20 only!! SG smelly smelly also selling for $40 and above.

There's so many cute doggy clothes at Central World! 1 piece is just about 10 bucks!

Each piece here cost no more than 200 baht(SGD 8).

199/250 baht's shoes!

I saw this selling for almost SGD 20 in Singapore. This one cost me just 220baht(SGD9.50)!! The kimono girl is so cute!

Some tees for BF.. around 200 baht each.

The place where i spent the most!! 3k baht(SGD130)!!

After that, i really ate grass for the rest of the trip. LOL!!

the drinks explained why my groceries are heavy.

Last but not least, because we buy so many things within a day...

.

you get an auntie trying to figure out how to squeeze everything in her luggage!!

LOL!!!
