It's been a while since the 2 of us went out together for anything.
Since our parents 'abandoned' us for a wedding dinner and we were getting sick of home deliveries, we decided to eat out.
Borrowed car from BF 'cause he's working and got no use for it. Put in carpark also wasted. So we went over to pick it up from his workplace.
at the carpark, before setting off!
Dinner was at East Coast Lagoon Village Food Centre.
With the GPS app on my iPhone, getting there was a breeze.
But stupid me got the settings wrong.
Instead of putting on FAST route, i set toECONOMICALroute! Petrol saving yes, but not on time. I went through so many traffic lights that i lost count!
satay beehoon, BBQ stingray, cockles!
visited the dirty toilet just to wash hands. The toilets there forever damn dirty!
Sis wanted ice-cream. Seach hungrygowhere.com but everywhere seems closed.
Only 1 place left.
Changi Airport.
Like urgh! Work there everyday, supper also need to go back there. No choice so we sped there 'cause i need to do 'business' too! LOL!!
After 'signing the contract and settled my super big business', we went over to .....
24 hrs!
First thing my sis said when we were shown our seats: 'eh, The iPhone Clan.'
Seated right to us were 2 more iPhone users. Their conversation made us laugh like mad. We even used Whatsapp to gossip about them!! Very bad hor!
While waiting for the ice-creams, practiced some self-shots and photo taking 'cause the button is veeeeeeery hard to press!
not bad eh?
enjoying our ice-cream!
Walked over to Terminal 3 to get newspaper for our parents and my sis suddenly acted like a tourist!! Got fascinated with everything and started snapping non-stop!
That explains why i appeared lesser in the photos. Everyday I see until sian. Haha..
But the Christmas balls were really cute. It's the theme for this year.
Last year was Mickey and Friends. I remembered how Terminal 3 became a mini Disneyland where everyone was fighting to take photos with the characters.
The other day, my fellow colleague from another team offered me this..
Horlick flavoured ones!!
I know there's Milo flavoured ones still being sold but i haven't seen the Horlicks ones around for the longest time!!
Probably as long as 20 yrs!! I loved them when i was a kid. Used to cost only 10 cents per pack. Now it has risen to a goddamn80cents. Talk about inflation.
I miss it and the good old kiddy days!! Where my fortune was spent mostly at the 'mama shop'.
Does anyone miss it too??
By the way,
NEW STALL IN TERMINAL 3!!
Just looking at the boiling soup now makes me hungry.
They mainly serve steamboats with 3 different stocks(chicken, tomyum and herbal) with 3 different types of ingredients(seafood, chicken/pork/beef, assorted).
Tried the herbal soup with seafood in it. Ingredients were very fresh and the soup was AWESOME!! Smells strongly of herbs once the lid is lifted. Highly recommended 'cause it's super shiok especially on rainy days which is like almost everyday.
Stall is located in the foodcourt at Terminal 3, Basement 2, next to the stall selling western food. Do try it when you're there!!
On another note,
i'm over and done with the Intermediate 1's course of my Japanese language. Just took the final test this morning and is awaiting results now.
Once cleared, i can move on to Intermediate 2!
But, i'm worried about how far i can go. It's getting really difficult now. My job doesn't permit me to revise as much as i want to. I'm deadbeat everytime i reached home.
Furthermore, it seems like most of my classmates are either giving up or doing very badly. Not sure whether they have enough people at the end of the day to even start a class.
Worst case scenario.. hop over to another school! But learning style will be different and it takes time to adapt.
Wow.. look at the time now!! Meant to start blogging at 12am! Sigh.. i can NEVER do things on time.
Showing Yeti on Starworld now. The Yeti looked different when standing still and when running!! To think that this is a 2008 show.. no standard! Made it look more like a show from the 80s..
The other day i went for my gel nails in-fill.
This was the 1st time after i did my gel extension, professionally. Shall not elaborate about the lousy experience that i had at my friend's nail parlour. Shouldnt even call it a parlour. Looks more like a kiosk to me.
Anyway, it grew longer.
Till there was a gap and gel no longer covers the entire nail.
So, 2 choices. Either i remove it TOTALLY or i go for an in-fill.
I pretty much love my extension so i went ahead with the in-fill. In-fills are also a lot cheaper than fixing the extension from scratch too!!
The end product

Right now, my latest craze is .............. EATING MCDONALD'S!!
Heard about the Mcdonald's Monopoly game that's going on around?
If you havent, then you must be living in the well or simply meditating in the woods to gain immortality. *tsk tsk*
I'm hooked on it!
Right now, i'm short of a few pieces..
Thomson Road to win the Jetstar voucher for me to travel to more places..
Joo Chiat Road to win the much-awaited Ipod Touch to replace my lau kok kok Ipod Video..
Scotts Road to win 100,000 Esso Smiles points for BF's car's petrol consumption..
Shenton Way to win the Courts' voucher worth of $3,000 to buy my Ipod Touch in case i couldnt get Joo Chiat to win that.
Will any kind soul pleaseeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee donate your stickers to me? At least donate to anyone rather than throwing them into the bin.
Please do not follow what one of my friend did.
She ONLY wanted the grand prize of $50,000 so if the sticker is not blue in colour, she will just throw the whole lot away.
That day, it so happened that i just started this thing and was looking for more stickers to fill in the blanks. Asked from one of my colleagues who said that she passed the whole thing to her. BUT in the end, i didnt get it 'cause she already threw it away the day before.
The worst thing was, she couldnt remember all the stickers that she threw away.
All but ONE.
The 'Orchard Road' sticker.
The one and only sticker that could have won us a cruise vacation for 4 to Hawaii!!!!
Damn..
Heartpain!!! Sigh.. let's just cross our fingers and hope that she remembers it wrongly.
By the way, did anyone notice this?
A potato undressing itself on the box of the large fries. Something new and different from the usual 'double yellow lines'!!
It's been a long time since the 4 of us got together. We finally met up!! Full attendance!! Thanks to Twitter!
Despite sleeping for merely 3 hours, i still managed to force myself out of bed!! Cabbed down 'cause i was running late.
Dinner was at Kim Gary Hong Kong Cafe. An impromptu decision. We just couldnt decide what to eat!!
Chillout at Han's. The only place that has available seats in the smoking zone. Coffeebean and Starbucks had only like 4 pathetic tables.
Spent $4.50 on this no-standard rootbeer float. But it allowed us to stay all the way til 12am!!
Caught up with each other, gossiped about stuffs that were going on around us and screamed at the cockroach that came to disturb us halfway through. Super funny!! The cockroach made Ms Toh jumped onto my chair!!
Got chased by Han's at 12am 'cause they were closing. Wanted to go over and meet BF but i think his phone drop into the toilet bowl. Never answer!! *BOO*
Before i go continue my date with the now super hot HK drama, 宫心计,
Yea.. took only food and more food photos recently.. LOL!!
Night shift's lifestyle is damn fcuking boring.
Routine: Work til morning. Go home and serve my dishes in Cafe World. Sleep. Wake up for dinner. Prepare. Off to work again.
This continues for another 5 nights. Argh!
But it's the only time where you get free time in the counter. Like now. To do whatever you want if you decide not to rest.
See what i mean? Bo lang!!(of course this was taken beforehand.. how can the shops be open at this time?!)
The only downside of it is that you get haggard. HAHA!! And they were saying, the extra money that we're paid on night shift is not even enough to go for facial to restore our youth and complexion.
What to do.. that's life.
Ok, complained too much..
Pictures.. of food!! (Btw, i love Photoscape. So fast so convenient!! Way better than Photoshop which takes FOREVER to load. What's more, it's free!!!)
The other day before work, BF and i went for dinner at Waraku. Despite going there umpteen times, i still like it!
Their pasta is good
Set lunch/dinner is worth the money
Serving is generous.
There's never an occasion where i leave the place still feeling hungry.
Total bill: $33 for 2 sets of dinner(pasta for me, grilled chicken for BF) that comes with a drink, salad and corn soup.
I used my airport vouchers and waived off $30. So ended up, we paid only $3. HAHAHAHAH!! Shiok!
This was when i was working at the counter just in front of Starbucks. 2 girls went around giving free sandwiches!!
2 reasons: either they were promoting their new product OR it's gonna be expired soon.
In this case, the sandwich's expiry date is 7 Nov which is the next day.
I contemplated for awhile before eating it.
Then, I took a bite and threw it away. Sorry for wasting food but it just doesnt suit my taste buds, not because it's spoiled or what.
Cooked by me!! I have cravings for pasta most of the time. I can eat the same meal for breakfast, lunch and dinner!! Was thinking.. instead of ordering from Pastamania ALL the time, might as well learn how to cook. The recipe is getting perfect now.
My linguine used to be soggy and overcooked. Now i'm able to grasp the right timing. Perfect!~
And i can mix whatever ingredient i want in it.
Before coming to work, i had chilli tuna + prawn + taiwan sausage + linguine. LOL!!
Alrighty, time to rest.. Gonna wakey at 5am to continue the damn night shift. *boo!!*
Conversation of the day
Customer:"What is the rate of the Indian Rupees?"
Me: *pointing at the ratex board* "100 Indian Rupees for SGD3.20, Mdm."
Customer:"ok.."
After giving her the money..
Customer: "so how much is this? *holding up a piece of 100 Indian Rupees*
Me:*rolls eye + scold @$%^#@!! inside my head* "100 Indian Rupees for SGD3.20, Mdm."
Woke up earlier than usual for night shift so met up with Chris for dinner before work. No idea where to eat.. Picked The Pasta Shop 'cause it seems like the only place we haven't tried in the airport.
i love!! Very bright and cheery!!
The place was rather empty.. only another table, besides us were taken.
Food was served fast!!
My Chilli Vongole. So-so.. Taste like chilli crab, as what Chris said.. Portion of clams were pathetic. Got shell no meat.
Chris' Fxxxxxx chicken pasta(i cant rem the full name, just know that it starts with F and no, it's not fucking). It was tasty but a little on the salty side. Great for those who love salty stuff.. it was too much for me and just right for her.
Our side order. Chicky Chicken. Must order early for this 'cause it will take some time to serve.
And it's worth the wait! The white stuff is cheese, oozing out from the chicken, just like chicken cordon bleau!! Goes really well with the sour plum sauce that was served together. If given a choice, i would rather eat this with rice than my pasta.
Total bill was $49 with an order of Coke light.
Expensive hor? Probably that's the reason why it's so deserted. Luckily we have airport vouchers to waive off $40 and pay only $9.
The main point of the trip was to go for this 淋巴按摩. It's known to firm up the body(including the neh neh part), reduce water retention, ease congestion and lose weight. Most of my colleagues said it's good so i decided to tag along. haha..
Reached JB about 11am. I wanted to eat bak kut teh since i havent eaten it for the longest time, but, well, i was with 2 non-bak ku teh eaters.. So we ended up at Old Town@City Square. boo!
Breakfast @ Old Town. Love their toast!!
After all the eating, we took a cab down to Jalan Molek. It's done inside a bungalow. There were only 2 masseuses so 4 of us had to take turns.
While waiting, time to take pictures..
The place was pretty big.. 2 storeys high.
Boo!!
Waited for another 1 hr or so, finally it's our turn!!
They applied something first to open your 淋巴 then apply more oil to begin the 'scrubbing'. It was done by using a brush lookalike, except that the bristles on the brush were made of hard plastic.
It was bloody painful!! Might be due to the 'congestions' in my body as what she said. The scrubbing of my inner thighs was HELL!! Wonder how can anyone relax during this kind of massage.
The only time when i felt sleepy was when she massaged my head which.. i didnt ask for. It was shiok but my hair ended up becoming DAMN oily for the rest of the day and i couldnt wash it at a salon 'cause we had to wait 4 hrs later.
So yea.. i walked around like i was wearing a wig on my head.
Anyway, next, we took a cab down to Holiday Plaza. Had KFC before going for manicure and pedicure at our favourite Nail Studio.
That's my Etude House loots on the left!! 8 items for 140 ringgit.. Cheap!! It's a lot cheaper to buy Etude House stuff from JB since they are having a sale.. 50% off!!
My pedicure that cost 60 ringgit.
I got my Oceanus body spray from The Bodyshop!! It's always said to be discontinued but still hanging around the shelves everytime i go past. It's like my most favourite scent from there so i'll always try to grab 1 if i can. I cant bear to see it gone!! Aiming for the huge shower gel next! 40 ringgit!
Supper at Punggol Nasi Lemak after we came out of JB. Wanted to go Chomp Chomp but was packed. Xing Wang Hk cafe had a bloody long queue. It was the eve of Deepavli, that's why.
That's all for my JB trip. Can't wait to go again!! I wanna eat my bak ku teh!!
