It was a day to have dinner with my colleagues with 2 totally different mood. One was to celebrate the 'growing' up and the other was to say goodbye.
Anyways.. we'd decided to celebrate the happy one first so that the mood will not be dampened. Happy first than sad should be easier than the other way round!!

2008 flew by and it's already the 2nd month of 2009!! So that means i'll be getting my bonus 3 months later! Then, look forward to my birthday in July.. bonus in Dec and with a blink of the eye, it's 2010!!

anyway, Happy belated CNY to all!! The 15th day of CNY was yesterday.. and it marks the end of the whole 'gambling, eat-like-mad, collect angbaos' thing. Awwww!! I was having such good luck this year.. Winning in blackjacks and mahjong ALL THE WAY! Yessss.. this is a good year for the Pigs!!

Attended my best colleague's wedding yesterday at Bedok. It was my first Malay wedding!! Used to think that in a Malay wedding, guys and girls were separated at tables. Meaning they dine separately. But since my colleague is the modern kind of Malay, seatings were random.
Didn't really eat alot of the food though 'cause my tastebud was quite particular. But i do love the little cakes that she distributed to everyone!!

No pictures of the groom though. He was supposed to arrive later 'cause he was at his side of the ceremony. They had to hold 2 ceremonies at the same time but at 2 different venues. So different from the Chinese!!

I'm starting school on 9th of Dec!!
Signed up for Japanese classes at Bunka Language Private School. Elementary 1 for 2 months. Pretty intensive i think. Hope i can understand the lesson.
But 'cause she will not be in SG for her actual birthday, we gave her an early celebration!

It was my second time, Kimmy's first and she love it! Esp when there's a menu of half-sized curry for small-eaters like her!!

Since no one reached yet, we went over to secure a table and also made some arrangements with the staff for lis' surprise.

The cake.. which made us walked round and round the fountain terrace. The plan didnt go very smoothly but still we did our best! hahah..
What happened was we left it with the staff to keep it for us first. Then, we waited til everyone arrived and we (Kimmy and I again..) announced that we need to go collect the remaining drinks and to go loo. We quickly went over to the counter to request for our drinks and cake and went back to the seats and pretended nothing happened.
THEN i saw the staff coming over with A BEER in 1 hand and THE CAKE in the other. FAINT! The plan was to wait til the other 2 girls go off to the toilet before bringing it over and placed it on the table with candles lit and give her a surprise. And when he's on his way, they havent left!! Luckily, i 'CHIONG' over and stop him in time. The scenario was damn funny!

overall it was a success for my last birthday celebration at a chalet. At least it will stay as one of the good memories that i had when i'm young. Never will i be able to do this again.. when i'm like already 1/4 of a century. hahahahaha!
